About Us
Global Resource Cycle (GRC) is a non-profit organization that aims to serve the global community and improve the environment, urging the United States as well as the rest of the world to maintain and use our limited resources efficiently and wisely. GRC proudly joins forces with environmental agencies, major companies and small businesses, municipalities, international efforts, food banks, local shelters, recycling coalitions & associations, and everyone that seeks a similar or related mission.
While businesses within the food industry are adding to the municipal solid waste (MSW) stream, this wasted food can be given a better use and more hungry people can be fed. Meanwhile, companies are in need of implementing solutions that keep the earth's limited resources a top priority, initiating strategies that source, package, and distribute ecological resources responsibly.
Our team has been able to successfully advise businesses within the cosmetics industry, the auto parts industry, the educational field, the export industry, and other consultation firms on how to develop strategies that minimize their impact on the environment.
Mission
GRC’s mission is to improve the quality of life in South Florida by providing service to those in need, while educating both the local and global communities on how to source materials ethically and to manage resources efficiently.
How GRC Began ...
Global Resource Cycle (GRC) evolved from two university students with a dream of changing the world driven by a passion to service those in need. When the founding members recognized that they were in agreement of how one of the most necessary resources of survival - food, as well as many other resources, is wasted in the local community daily, they began seeking solutions to an obvious problem. As consumers and members of the community, both founders had a clear view that food waste occurs unnecessarily due to negligence and poor resource management. Global Resource Cycle incorporated as a non for profit organization in March 2006, unfolding and implementing a solution to this need in South Florida, while making a change and servicing a common vision.
